An iconic style present has hit the highway once more.

Jaw dropping, elegant ensembles that when graced catwalks throughout the nation at the moment are touring on a 9-metropolis tour on the Inspiring Beauty: 50 Years of Ebony Fashion Fair exhibit. Now parked at The George Washington College Museum and Textile Museum in Washington, DC., greater than 100 gadgets from the acclaimed exposition are on show.

Starting as part of Ebony Journal, the Ebony Fashion Honest Exhibits started in 1958 beneath the management of founder Eunice Walker Johnson, co-founder of Johnson Publishing Firm. It was a major enterprise, given the contentious racial local weather of that period, with many Blacks going through discrimination and being neglected of mainstream style. Fashion Honest was one of the primary style reveals to introduce Black fashions to the catwalk.
