In honor of Shantrelle P. Lewis’ new ebook Dandy Lion: The Black Dandy and Avenue Type, Brooklyn Museum hosts Fashion Night: Modern Black Dandies on Thursday, June , an exploration of black males’s type as a kind of private politics.

Lewis, a U.S. based mostly creator, curator and researcher, travels internationally to analysis diasporic aesthetics, spirituality and the survival and nuances of transnational African diasporan communities.
