Strong Winds Postpone Cape Town Fashion Week – Huffington Post South Africa (weblog)

The Mercedes Benz Cape Town Fashion Week was postponed on Saturday after robust winds disrupted it for a 3rd day.

This was after the Cape Town Cycle Tour was cancelled on March 12 on account of winds approaching 50 km/h.

Occasion organisers, African Fashion Worldwide (AFI), stated on Fb that the style week would now be held from April 6-eight.

"Following the recommendation of our engineering consultants, we now have made the manager choice to postpone [the event]," they stated.

The style week's first present was cancelled on Thursday after organisers stated winds posed a security threat.

On Friday, company had been requested to depart the venue by 18:20.

"The security of our company is our important concern," occasion organisers stated. -- News24
